Arsenal won the first three matches in Group F, but dropped two points in the last game. The Gunners first outplayed Eintracht in Frankfurt and won with 3:0 thanks to goals scored by Joe Willock, Bukayo Saka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Unai Emery's men were also superior in the second round, beating the Belgian side Standard Liege with 4:0. Youngster Gabriel Martinelli scored a brace, while Joe Willock and Dani Ceballos netted the remaining two. In the third round Arsenal beat Vitoria Guimaraes with 3:2 at the Emirats. Nicolas Pepe, who entered as substitute, scored twice in the last 10 minutes, while Gabriel Martinelli also found the back of the net earlier. The winning series ended in the previous round when they played an 1:1 draw in Portugal. Shkodran Mustafi's header gave advantage to the North London club with 10 minutes to go, but Bruno Duarte scored a 91st-minute equalizer for Guimaraes. Arsenal were close to the victory, however they didn't impress. Mustafi's goal came from their only shot on target in the match. The overall form is also poor as Arsenal are winless on the last six matches in all competitions. The Gunners sit on the 8th place in the Premier League, eight points adrift of a top-four Champions League qualifying spot. A number of prominent Arsenal supporters asked the owner Stan Kroenke to take an "urgent action". Emery has most of the players ready for this match, although some changes are possible. Dani Ceballos remains out with a hamstring injury, while Sead Kolasinac, Rob Holding and Bukayo Saka are rated as doubtful.
Eintracht Frankfurt are sharing the second place in the group with Standard. Both teams have six points after four rounds and both teams will try to secure the knock-out phase. Frankfurt have two victories and two defeats so far. They have found it difficult to replicate last season's results this year after losing key players Ante Rebic, Sebastien Haller and Luka Jovic during the summer. The Eagles started with a 3:0 home defeat to Arsenal. Eintracht dominated on the field, but it was the Premiership outfit that was scoring the goals. It was a tight affair until the closing stages of the game, but Arsenal took advantage of the Dominik Kohr's red card. The Bundesliga side have conceded two late goals and suffered a high defeat. Nevertheless, they managed to win the next two games. Eintracht beat Vitoria in Guimaraes with 1:0 thanks to Obite N'Dicka, and beat Standard at home with 2:1. David Abraham and Martin Hinteregger scored the goals on that match. In the reverse fixture Frankfurt lost with the same result in Belgium. The domestic results are mixed. Three weeks ago Frankfurt smashed champions Bayern Munich with high 5:1. What followed were defeats to Freiburg and Wolfsburg. Worst of all, coach Adi Hutter's men failed to score a single goal on the mentioned two games. On the positive note, Hutter has most of his players available for the trip to England, only defender Marco Russ and goalkeeper Kevin Trapp are long-term absentees.
Arsenal vs Eintracht Frankfurt Prediction:
I expect a high scoring match at the Emirats. Emery will once again start with his young attackers. So far they impressed, Arsenal have scored 11 goals on four matches in Europe League. Frankfurt are in poor form, however I can't imagine they will play 'catenaccio' in London. I believe they are able to score as the Gunners showed lot of weaknesses in the defense against struggling Southampton last weekend.
