Semifinal in Champions League from Etihad Stadium in Manchester. The home side City takes on the Spanish side Real Madrid. Both teams are also fighting for their lives in their home leagues, but this match is extremely important for both sides.

The sky blues from Manchester sits on a 3rd place in the English Premier League with the same amount of points as Arsenal (64 points), behind them local rivals Manchester United are pushing with 59 points. It's important for Pellegrino's men to not slip in the battle for Champions League next year. On Saturday Stoke were beaten 4-0 at Etihad, while Gael Clichy and Kevin de Bruyne was rested at the bench from start.

Vincent Kompany are expected back in the starting lineup, and will replace Mangala. The Manchester City skipper are one of the most important players for Pellegrino, if not the most important of them all. This is the first ever Man City semifinal in Champions League, this year could be the turning point for City when it comes to success in the Europa Cup. Yaya Toure (midfield) and Samir Nasri (midfield) are both injured and the only unavailable players for the home side.

Expected lineup Manchester City:

Hart

Clichy – Kompany – Otamendi – Sagna

Fernando – Fernandinho

Navas – de Bruyne – Silva

Aguero

Today's visitors from Madrid are fighting for the league champions in la Liga, at the moment they're on a 3rd place with 81 points, in front of them both Barcelona and local rivals Atletico Madrid have 82 points. It's going to be an amazing race in the Spanish la Liga, with only three matches again to be played. Real Madrid won 2-3 away to Rayo Vallecano last weekend, after going behind 2-0. In this match players like James Rodriguez (midfield), Sergio Ramos (defender) and Luka Modric (midfield) was rested. Daniel Carvajal (defender) and Cristiano Ronaldo (striker) didn't play against Rayo because of minor injuries, but are both expected in the starting lineup for tonight. Striker Karim Benzema has picked up a minor injury, and will start on the bench for Real tonight.

This will be an intense match, with a lot of duels in the midfield were two compact teams are trying to get the advantage.

Expected lineup Real Madrid:

Navas

Carvajal – Pepe – Ramos – Marcelo

Modric – Casemiro – Kroos

Bale – Lucas Vazquez – Cristiano Ronaldo

This match is basically great for a card-bet, both sides have central defenders who picks up a lot of cards. On the defensive midfield for Manchester City we'll find Fernando and Fernandinho who will make a lot of tackles and free kick's. Strong and hard-working Real Madrid defensive midfielder Casemiro are up against quick and brilliant de Bruyne and Silva, and will also perhaps see a card today.

When we look at todays referee Turkish Cüneyt Cakir, we know there's going to be a lot of cards seen today. The referees last 15 games shows an average of 4,26 yellow cards pr match, the average of cards pr game are even higher in Champions League matches for the Turkish ref. The highlights for Cakir in last years Champions League when it comes to cards are:

Sporting – CSKA Moscow 7 yellow

Malmö – Real Madrid 6 yellow, 1 red

Chelsea – Porto 6 yellow

We bet on over 4,5 cards in today's semifinal from Manchester, and get a great odds value. Good luck!
