Juventus vs Roma Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Juventus:
Szczesny; De Sciglio, Bonucci, Chiellini, Sandro; Bentancur, Pjanic, Matuidi; Dybala, Mandzukic, Ronaldo

Roma:
Olsen; Florenzi, Manolas, Fazio, Kolarov; N’Zonzi, Cristante; Under, Zaniolo, Kluivert, Dzeko

Juventus are the leaders in Serie A. The Old Lady have 46 points, eight more than second-placed Napoli. The difference with Roma is even bigger - the guests will go into the derby against Juventus 22 points behind, the biggest gap before a match since the season 2002/03. The Bianconeri are dominant in Serie A having dropped just two points all season. Juventus are in series of seven victories, beating Empoli, Cagliari, Milan, SPAL, Fiorentina, Inter and Torino. The narrow 1:0 win against Torino in Derby della Mole means they kept clean sheet in five consecutive rounds. It is clear the defense is working like a Swiss clock. Coach Max Allegri is doing a fantastic job and the fans are pleased. Cristiano Ronaldo is the team leading scorer with eleven goals, while Mario Mandzukic has seven. The mentioned two players also have combined seven (5+2) assists. Both strikers are ready and will try to improve their record. Juve also finished top of their group in the Champions League and were paired with Atletico Madrid in the first knock-out stage. The atmosphere in the squad is excellent, while the players confidence is 'High as Everest'. Alegri has three injured players for this match - Juan Cuadrado, Andrea Barzagli and Joao Cancelo. On the positive note, Sami Khedira, Emre Can and Leonardo Spinazzola have all recovered from their injuries and they are in contention. Rodrigo Bentancur is available after serving a suspension and should start.

Roma finally won the last weekend as they managed to beat Genoa at Stadio Olimpico. The Giallorossi came from behind to win with 3:2 in a thrilling match, despite a howler from goalkeeper Robin Olsen in the 17th minute. Federico Fazio equalized the result in the 31st minute, but Genoa restore the advantage two minutes later. The first half brought another excitement as Justin Kluivert scored a beautiful goal in the last minute. The final result was set up in the 59th minute thanks to Bryan Cristante. The victory against Genoa have improved the atmosphere as Roma had no win on the five matches previously. The poor series started with a loss at Udinese, continued with another defeat from Real Madrid in the Champions League, followed by two draws in Serie A, with Inter at Olimpico and Cagliari at Sardinia. The crisis culminated with another loss in the Champions League, from Viktoria Plzen. Coach Eusebio Di Francesco is still feeling some pressure and his position isn't quite safe. The match with Juventus is very important for their hopes of finishing in the top four. At the moment Roma have 24 points, three less than fourth-placed Milan. Di Francesco has some injury worries ahead of the match. Captain Daniele De Rossi has been out since October 28 with a cartilage injury, and is unlikely to be fit to face Juventus on Saturday. In addition, Stephan El Shaarawy, Alessandro Florenzi and Lorenzo Pellegrini are also rated as doubtful. On the positive note, Edin Dzeko is expected to start.

Juventus vs Roma Prediction:

Roma’s record against Juventus in Turin is dreadful, winning just eight of 84 trips to face the Bianconeri. Juve boast 55 victories and 21 draws, with superior goal-difference (163:59). However, I think Roma are able to upset the leaders. Dzeko will start and his presence means a lot. Cengiz Under, Nicolo Zaniolo and Justin Kluivert are behind him, creating an interesting combination of experience and youth. They are definitely able to make troubles to Juve’s back line. I believe Roma could cover the handicap, meaning they won't lose with two goals.
